My wife and I kept losing receipts. Not metaphorically — actual paper, actual folders, actual "I swear I put it somewhere" moments, right before tax season or a warranty claim. We tried a couple of budgeting apps, but the part that made us quit was never the budgeting. It was typing in the merchant, the date, the total, over and over, for every single receipt.
So I built Resiboo to solve that one problem: point the camera, and everything else — merchant, total, category — gets read automatically. No account, because it didn't need one. No cloud, because our receipts aren't anyone else's business. It's been running on both our phones for months now, and the "where did that receipt go" conversation just… stopped happening.
That's the whole origin story. No investors, no roadmap meetings — just a developer, his wife, and a drawer that used to be full of paper.
