How to export receipts to CSV — for your accountant or a budgeting app

Short answer: Settings → Export → Build a new export. It opens one screen with a live, day-grouped preview of your receipts, a freeform list of columns you shape yourself, and filters for date, category, merchant, and tags. Check the preview, tap Export, then Share or Download the CSV. No account, no upload — the file is built on your device.

There's no destination picker and no separate "budgeting app" mode — it's one builder, and what you do with the columns is what makes the export work for a bookkeeper, a budgeting app, or just yourself.

Exporting for a bookkeeper or accountant

If you freelance or run a small business in the Philippines, "send me your expenses as a spreadsheet" is a recurring request, usually every quarter around BIR filing.

Open Settings → Export. First time here, it's empty — export needs at least one scanned receipt, and this screen is where your saved setups live once you have one. Tap Build a new export and it opens straight into the builder, already prefilled with a lean default: date, merchant, category, total.

There's no separate "create" or "save" step — the profile already exists the moment the builder loads, and every change you make (name, columns, whether expenses show as negative numbers, category mapping, date format) auto-syncs back to it as you go. Name it something you'll recognize later — "For my accountant" — set the Date filter chip to the quarter you're filing, and check the live preview. It shows every row exactly as it'll appear in the file — cleaned-up merchant names, grouped by day, with a per-day and grand total — so you can catch a wrong total before it's in someone else's spreadsheet. Tap Export, then Download for a CSV saved straight to a Resiboo Downloads folder (visible in Files on iOS, no prompt), or Share to send it directly.

Next quarter, the same profile is sitting in the Export list — tap it instead of rebuilding the columns, and use the New since last export chip (see below) to skip receipts already sent.

Shaping an export for a budgeting app

There's no built-in preset for YNAB, Monarch, or any other budgeting app — Resiboo's export is a freeform column list, not a template picker. What that means in practice: you build the column layout the target app expects, once, and save it as its own profile.

YNAB's file-based import, for example, expects a header of Date, Payee, Memo, Outflow, Inflow — two separate, both-positive amount columns rather than one signed total. In the column editor, add a column per header, map Payee to Resiboo's merchant field, Memo to notes or category, and use Outflow for the total (Resiboo's "show as negative expense" switch controls the sign if the target app wants it that way instead). Save it once as a profile named for the app, and every future export from that profile is already shaped right — you're not rebuilding the mapping each time, just re-running it.

Whatever app you're targeting, check its import documentation for the exact header it expects and reproduce that in the column editor — the freeform model means anything with a documented CSV format is reachable, just not one-tap.

Free accounts get one saved profile

You can save one export profile for free. A bookkeeper profile already uses it — a second saved profile (say, one shaped for a budgeting app) is a Resiboo Plus feature; the Save row shows a lock once you're at the cap, with a note that export still works either way. Two things stay unlocked regardless of tier: editing your existing saved profile, and running an export, which is always free no matter how many profiles you have.

If you only need a second shape occasionally rather than permanently, you don't need to save it at all — see the next section.

Exporting just one trip, or one reimbursement

Not every export needs a saved profile. Say a client is reimbursing a two-day trip and wants only those receipts. Tag the relevant receipts as you scan them — a trip name works well — then go Build a new export and filter by that Tags chip instead of a date range. The preview narrows to exactly those receipts, with its own grand total to confirm against the claim. Export, Share, send it. There's nothing to name or keep, and it doesn't touch your one saved-profile slot.

It's still not thrown away, though — every export, saved profile or not, gets an entry in History (the clock icon at the top of the Export screen), with its own copy of the generated file. If the client asks for it again in a month, open History and re-share or re-download that exact file instead of rebuilding the export from scratch.

Getting only what's new since the last export

Once a profile has run at least once, a New since last export chip appears alongside the usual Date/Category/Merchant/Tags filters. Turning it on narrows the selection to receipts not already covered by that profile's export history.

This is a receipt-ID membership check, not a date cutoff — so a receipt you scanned late, dated back before the last export, is still picked up as new. A profile you already ran a full quarter through, then re-run mid-quarter, only pulls in what's actually been added since.

What export doesn't do

It's a CSV generator, not a sync. There's no scheduled or automatic export, no direct upload to an accounting or budgeting service, and no other output format. Nothing leaves your device until you tap Share or Download — the file travels only when you send it.

If you've been digitizing receipts as you go, the data's already sitting there in the shape these exports need. This is just the door it walks out through when someone asks for it.
